Compost For the People...
On Saturday, May 2nd, we had our second annual spring compost distribution for those who have contributed throughout the year. This year we delivered over 7000 litres of quality finished compost to over 200 of the participants in our program!
Service Now Available in N.D.G...
That's right, we're now up and running in N.D.G., with collection happening on Tuesday nights. If you are a resident of N.D.G. and would like to get involved in the program, please get in touch with us, and we'll get you everything you need to get started.
You may have noticed that our compostable 'Do's and 'Don't's have gotten much less strict... Here's why:

When we first began the program, the compost process was taking place in much smaller batches, where high concentration levels (like acidity) and items that took a long time to decompose (like corn cobs) had to be avoided.

Now that our composting facility has grown, the only things to be really worried about are animal products, like meat, fat, bones, grease, cheese, and of course - (ahem!) - excrement from cats and dogs.
Less Picky Compost...
Yes, due to continued demand, our routes through Outremont, Mile End, Rosemont, Villeray and Hochelaga-Maisonneuve are now well-established. If you live in any one of these neighbourhoods, and would like to start composting, just let us know!
